Job Description
Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech) is a newly established private not-for-profit university established in 2021 with the vision to be a leading university in the fields of technology and science to guarantee Cambodia’s future prosperity. Currently, we are urgently looking for key talents to fill the following vacancies.
- Lecturer in Database Management Systems
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, deliver, and assess undergraduate courses in Database Management Systems.
- Teach topics such as:
- Database administration and performance tuning
- Transaction management and concurrency control
- Data security, integrity, and recovery
- NoSQL and modern database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Cloud-based databases and data services (e.g., AWS RDS, Google BigQuery)
- Conduct lab sessions and projects using tools like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
- Supervise student assignments, final-year projects, and internships in database-related topics.
- Update course materials regularly to reflect current best practices and industry standards.
Job Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in database technologies and query languages.
- Experience teaching or training in a higher education or professional setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive teaching practices.
