Job Description
SUNRISE JAPAN HOSPITAL Phnom Penh (SJH) is seeking qualified applicants to work with our medical professionals. - Junior Radiologist (2 Positions)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Protocoling, monitoring, and interpreting X-ray, CT, US, and MR imaging studies under faculty supervision.
- Prepares interdisciplinary conferences.
- Consults referring physicians.
- Effectively communicates study results by the timely signing of reports and appropriate direct communication.
- Effectively recommends to the general physician about the follow-up study criteria of the common disease, health checkup, etc.
- Effectively reports the abnormality of some disease to the general physician which leads to an emergency operation, an emergency procedure like golden time of stroke (tPA), etc.
- Evaluates patients’ medical histories to ensure the various medical imaging procedures will not harm them.
- Suggests alternative medical imaging techniques, when necessary.
- Informs patients about the medical imaging process.
- Uses devices such as computer tomography (CT) scanners and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines.
- Performs or directs radiology staff to carry out image-guided, diagnostic procedures.
- Works with radiology lab technicians to perfect image quality.
- Interprets the results from diagnostic imaging procedures to determine diagnoses.
- Communicates and discusses results and diagnoses with physicians.
- Compiles written reports of results and diagnoses.
- Follows medical protocols for resuscitation, bleeding, infection, or other emergency situations, when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Certification of Medical Specialties in radiology and/or a subspecialty, therapeutic radiology, interventional radiology, or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or related field 3 to 5 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in radiology
- Successful completion of the Cambodian Medical National Licensing Examination
- Proficient in general radiology techniques, including X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound
- Patient management skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Language ability: fluent Khmer, good command of English or Japanese is preferred
- Willing to learn new things, improve knowledge and continue learning
- Ability to build good interpersonal relationships, and work well in team
- Having the ability to work effectively under pressure, be flexible and prioritize job task
