The HALO Trust is a foreign NGO that clears explosive ordnance in Cambodia. Our mission is to protect lives and restore livelihoods that have been affected by the explosive remnants of war. HALO has been working in Cambodia since 1991 and currently employs over 1,100 staff to work on mine clearance and explosive ordnance disposal projects in the north, northwest and the East of the country.
We are now looking for qualified candidates to fulfill the positions below:
- Translators (5 Positions)
- Interpret English to Khmer and Khmer to English verbally
- Work closely with international trainees or expatriate staff
- Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders and respondents in minefields and communities
- Translate any essential paperwork and correspondences
- Support programme if needed
- Assist other tasks assigned by Line Manager
- Proficiency in English both in writing and speaking
- Proficiency in Ms. Office, Word & Excel, email & Internet
- Good health
- Willingness to travel and work in remote areas of Cambodia
- Good interpersonal communication skills, hardworking, honest, flexibility and a positive attitude
