GIZ is a federally owned enterprise and is supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
The Civil Peace Service (CPS) Program / Ziviler Friedensdienst (ZFD) was founded in 1999 as a cooperation of nine German agencies working in the field of non-violent conflict transformation with the German Federal Ministry for International Cooperation and Development as donor. GIZ is one of these agencies. The mission of CPS is to build peace with partners in conflict- and post-conflict societies around the world. Today, CPS programs are implemented in 22 countries.
- National Internship in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
- Assist GIZ-CPS Advisor for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) to deliver capacity building on trauma responsive approaches to GIZ-CPS partner organizations.
- Review GIZ-CPS MHPSS capacity building measures to learn about GIZ-CPS MHPSS approaches.
- Work closely with GIZ-CPS MHPSS partner organizations to get familiar with their work and learn their approaches in the field of mental health.
- Occasional travel with GIZ-CPS MHPSS partner organizations to assist their activities and implementation in the field.
- Accompaniment of the ECCC Mobile Resource Center during its outreach activities in selected provinces.
- Attend possible reflection and planning workshops with GIZ-CPS MHPSS partner organizations.
- Work and cooperate with other GIZ-CPS MHPSS development advisors to get familiar with their work and their partner organizations.
- Attend and exchange with Cambodia’s mental health networks.
- Be part of the team for preparation of other activities of GIZ-CPS team for conducting meetings, workshops, and trainings.
- Recently completed a bachelor's degree of psychology or currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology;
- Strong interest in improving the field of mental health in Cambodia;
- Interest in international cooperation and peacebuilding;
- Fluency in both Khmer and English (writing and speaking);
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational and presentation skills;
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills;
- Ability use of standard MS Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
