Job Description
GIZ is a federally owned enterprise and is supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
The Digital Green Innovation Accelerator supports Cambodian Startups that are addressing local climate and environmental challenges using digital technologies. The project works closely with these startups as well as a number of partners to provide training, advisory and financial support for the startups.
- Junior Advisor for Startup Support
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Supporting the implementation of the overall project concept and its delivery; pro-actively identifying opportunities and challenges updating the approach together with the project manager according to the latest developments and the needs of the startups
- Supporting the organization and implementation of capacity development measures for the startups regarding skills relevant to their development and supporting them towards being successful and attracting investment
- Supporting the planning and preparation of as well as participating in trainings, presentations, workshops and events
- Carrying out specific tasks in connection with knowledge management for the project
- Carrying out specific tasks in connection with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for the project
- Coordinate activities together with the GIZ team in Germany
Job Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field related to digital transformation, e.g. economics, information and communication technology, computer science etc.
- Relevant certificates regarding digital transformation are an asset (e.g. design thinking, (agile) project management or similar)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant positions
- Experiences in networking, (digital) community and ecosystem building; having a network in Cambodia’s startup ecosystem and knowledge of the relevant stakeholders is a great asset
- Good knowledge of trends in ICT and sectors related to the environment in Cambodia
- Experience in the conception and implementation of capacity development activities for startups
- Experience with funding opportunities for start-up promotion, innovation or digitalization initiatives is an asset
- Experience with tendering processes and calls for proposals is an asset
- Experience with international development is an asset
- Fluency in Khmer, Fluency in English
- A proactive approach, thinking outside the box, creativity, embracing challenges, self-motivation and self-organization are of the highest relevance for this position
- Strong advisory, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
