Job Description
We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
- Agriculture Operations Staff (1 Position)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Workshop and Equipment Management
- Organize Tools and Equipment: Make sure all tools, machinery, and parts are in the right place and easy for everyone to access.
- Maintain Machinery: Set up regular checks and basic repairs on equipment to avoid downtime, especially during peak farming seasons.
- Manage JD Operations Center: Use the JD Operations Center to track how each machine is used, monitor fuel levels, and make sure everything is running efficiently.
- Team and Task Management
- Coordinate Tasks: Give clear daily tasks to each team member, focusing on farming priorities like planting, maintenance, and harvesting.
- Prioritize Work: Make sure urgent tasks, like field maintenance or equipment prep before planting, are handled first.
- Monitor Progress: Track how the team is doing on their assigned tasks and help out where needed to keep everything moving.
- Procurement and Supplies
- Order Farming Supplies: Keep track of what’s needed, such as seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides, and work with vendors to get these supplies on time.
- Manage Machinery Parts: Arrange orders for spare parts and other equipment needs, so repairs can be done quickly without affecting fieldwork.
- Inventory Check: Regularly check supplies and tools in stock to avoid delays in farming activities.
- JD Operations Center Oversight
- Monitor Operations: Watch over machinery operations through the JD Center, track data on how each piece of equipment is performing, and look for ways to improve usage.
- Data Analysis: Use data from the JD Operations Center to make equipment usage more efficient, helping to save fuel and reduce wear on machinery.
- Weekly Reporting: Report on equipment performance and task progress each week to the Senior Agronomist, noting any challenges or improvements.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in a farming or workshop management role.
- Knowledge: Familiar with agricultural machinery and farming practices.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, basic equipment maintenance, and ability to prioritize tasks for efficient farming.
