Job Description
Wildlife Alliance is a nature conservation NGO based in Cambodia with a mission to counter the illegal wildlife trade, provide care to seized wild animals, and protect wild habitats. The organization has been operating in Cambodia since 2000 and has saved over 65,000 live animals from smugglers. The job opening is for an assistant to the project called Wildlife Rapid Rescue Team (WRRT) that has conducted successful investigation and crack-downs in Cambodia’s 25 provinces.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Translating WRRT related documents from Khmer to English and English to Khmer
- Readiness to work with WRRT unit 24/7 and flexibility in dealing with difficult situation whenever encountering illegal activities on the job
- Searching and investigating wildlife crimes
- Assure humanly care following wildlife seized
- Doing other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
- Must be a Bachelor’s degree holder in Biodiversity Conservation, Environment and Natural Resources Management or in related field
- Must be bilingual Khmer-English with good communication and writing skills, good Chinese/Vietnamese communication and writing skills a plus
- Must have high level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access
- Must have sufficient experience in investigation and collecting information related to wildlife trade
- Must have organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
- Must be resourceful, mature, hardworking, self-motivated and have willingness to work night time in the field
- Must have attention to detail
- Must possess strong personality, love for nature and strong commitment to fight for wildlife protection
- With sufficient driving experience and must possess a driver’s license
- This position is based in Phnom Penh but requires some travelling to the provinces.
