- Laundry Manager
- Oversee the daily operations of the laundry department, including scheduling, staffing, and training of employees.
- Ensure efficient and timely laundry processing, including linens, uniforms, and guest clothing.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area.
- Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering and stocking laundry chemicals and other necessary items.
- Inspect finished laundry to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Implement and enforce safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Monitor and control operational costs and expenses.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints regarding laundry services.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education or certification in hospitality management or related field preferred.
