Smiling Gecko Cambodia (SGC) was officially registered in 2014 as a local non-profit NGO in Cambodia. It provides direct aid in the form of finance and other support to the needy in Cambodia, sponsoring projects that are sustainable both from an ecological and economic standpoint. We created a self-sufficient ecosystem for rural communities in Cambodia including Smiling Gecko Campus and Farmhouse Resort & Spa and The Gong, its state-of-the art “GONG Studio” that is a house for cultural restoration, music and performing arts center.
- Vocal Trainer (1 Position)
- Provide one-on-one and group vocal lessons tailored to each student’s needs and skill level.
- Develop individualized lesson plans that align with the studio’s curriculum while incorporating modern and classical vocal techniques.
- Mentor students in vocal technique, breath control, pitch, tone, and range expansion.
- Prepare students for performances, auditions, and recording sessions as needed.
- Conduct vocal assessments to monitor and document students’ progress.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that inspires creativity and discipline.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a vocal trainer or similar role, preferably in a studio or educational setting.
- Strong background in vocal performance, with formal training or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for music education and a commitment to fostering students’ musical growth.
PREFERRED
- Degree in Music, Vocal Performance, or a related field.
- Experience with various musical styles and genres.
- Ability to play an instrument or familiarity with music theory.
