Job Description
Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SP) is a nonprofit, nondenominational, evangelical Christian Organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. We are seeking qualified candidate to fill the positions as following based in Pailin province.
- WASH Sanitation Field Officer
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Engage with community to plan, prepare and conduct cleaning campaigns for the village
- Work together with village leaders to organize trainings on sanitation and hygiene and mobalize trash clean up
- Maintain strong communication and good working relationship with village leaders, community, local authorities and latrine vendor
- Assess families who need latrines
- Promote latrine use within the community and help establish a schedule for material delivery to households
- Conduct trainings for beneficiaries on sanitation
- Ensure quality work of vendors, material delivery and construction of latrines
- Review lessons learned along the way and compile feedback for reports
- Monitor data on latrine need and latrine usage in villages
- Provide feedback to the WASH Senior Coordinator and Manager of any issues/problems found regarding daily work
- Follow up on Operation and Maintenance at households
- Drive and protect SP motorbikes when carrying out work activities
- Participate and share ideas in monthly team reflection meetings
- Draft a Weekly Report of actual project achievements and send to supervisor
- Any other reasonable task requested by supervisor
Job Requirements
- Strong Christian who is committed to Samaritan’s Purse mission, core values, and policies
- Experience working with a team
- Strong Community Engagement and Training skills
- Basic English skills and basic computer skills (desirable)
- Ability to drive a motorbike with license (required)
- Experience working/knowledge regarding water, hygiene, and sanitation (desirable)
- Good facilitation skills and communication skills
- Willing to relocate to new SP target areas as required by the project
- A heart to work with rural communities
- A strong desire to learn, improve skills, gain experience, and commit to his/her further development
