Job Responsibilities & Duties

Workforce Development Program

  • Approximately 70%
    • Phase 1: Identify product or business; provide quality control and training
      • Plan and coordinate entrepreneurship skill-building sessions, including business development and planning, marketing, financial literacy and management, product development, market analysis, and soft skills.
      • Coordinate and oversee training sessions for WFD trainers, ensuring trainers possess the requisite skills to effectively instruct women, and develop training videos for reference and as needed.
      • Collaborate with the WFD team and technical trainers to develop lesson plans.
      • Identify additional training needs through collaboration with the WFD Program team, particularly in business and marketing.
      • Deliver targeted technical training to ensure women achieve proficiency in desired skills, addressing gaps identified during the process.
      • Conduct regular follow-ups on training progress and production quality to ensure products are viable for sale.
      • Provide training to WFD program participants on quality assurance, order management, and product delivery procedures.
    • Phase 2: Launch business
      • Design, formulate, and implement an enterprise development program.
      • Support the WFD team in assessing and evaluating WFD women who commit to start-up expansion.
      • Provide consultation and advice on business start-ups, ensuring women are on the right track and aware of necessary arrangements for business setup.
      • Provide coaching on business management and marketing.
      • Facilitate connections between participants and potential buyers to explore opportunities for securing orders.
      • Collaborate with the marketing and communication team to research and identify target markets and potential sellers that can support enterprises under the WFD program.
      • Strengthen market access for products of women entrepreneurs and reinforce entrepreneur and business associations.
      • Lead and oversee the marketing activities:
      • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with production facilities while actively seeking out potential new partners.
      • With the Marketing & Communication Officer, define a clear marketing and communication plan for each target.
      • Collaborate closely with the marketing and communication team to formulate a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy tailored to each targeted market.
      • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communication team and production partners to produce videos/photos of production impact for sharing on social media.
      • Establish clear sales targets and explore diverse sales platforms, including events, pop-ups, online channels, hotels, restaurants, markets, and more.
      • Oversee and manage offline/online sales, including boosting pages for both 4legs craft and Nomi Network Cambodia.
      • Lead production and Business Assistant to organize events to promote Nomi Network Cambodia’s products.
      • Production and Business
  • Approximately 30%
    • Oversee the production chain of Nomi Network’s handmade merchandise for human and pets from start to finish including:
    • Facilitate the communication of designs between the women entrepreneur and buyers, on handmade products, pet products, and others.
    • Collaborate with the graphic design team to generate spec sheets, mock-ups, and ensure approval before commencing production.
    • Support the women entrepreneur sourcing of raw materials from both local and regional suppliers to meet production requirements.
    • In consultation with the women entrepreneur, prepare cost sheets, set up market prices for the collection, and communicate pricing details to buyers, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
    • Liaise with the women entrepreneur to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards throughout the production process.
    • Manage production-related activities, including conducting quality control checks, attending production meetings, and providing feedback to customers and stakeholders.
    • Oversee the shipping process to ensure the product arrives at the destination on time.
    • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Aggregate monthly production and sales data into comprehensive reports for review with the supervisor, providing detailed insights and analysis.
    • Organize and oversee the annual impact survey among vendors, facilitating the collection of information on producers and their social impact, and subsequently preparing and presenting reports on the findings.
    • Admin and Finance:
    • Establish and maintain an organized system for cataloging and managing all production documents, including barcodes, style numbers, order tickets, and QuickBooks entries.
    • Maintain comprehensive contact lists for all producers and local vendors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Oversee budgetary matters and conduct monthly follow-ups to track expenses and ensure adherence to financial targets and policies/procedures.
    • Enforce compliance with Nomi's financial guidelines for all purchasing activities, guaranteeing fiscal responsibility and accountability.
    • Maintain proper records of expenditures utilizing NNC financial templates and standard procedures to accurately record expenditures, coordinating all payments with the finance department.
    • Other Tasks:

Job Requirements
  • A bachelor degree in business management, entrepreneurship, innovation, or related
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise management, business, and monitoring systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, in depth knowledge and experience of SMEs and the Startup business
  • Proven track record of successfully managing production processes, optimizing workflows, and achieving operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, procurement processes, and inventory control.
  • Proficient in effective communication, customer relationships, and liaison skills, with business mindset.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in implementing livelihood projects/activities are an additional asset
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in both Khmer and English
  • Proficient in MS Office, Internet and email, and social media management with basic graphic design knowledge.
