Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), established in 1950, is an NGO aiming at helping children in need. Through various programs, from sponsorship to child protection, from early intervention to advocacy, TFCF has not only served a number of children but also initiated the social welfare system in Taiwan. As one of the biggest NGOs in Taiwan, TFCF sponsors 118,000 children worldwide and has over 200,000 Taiwanese sponsors.
In order to assist needy children and families in Cambodia, Family Fund For Children Organization (TFCF Cambodia) has registered in 2015. Besides Cambodia, TFCF has five oversea branch offices in Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Swaziland, Vietnam, Jordan and Philippines.
- Social Worker
- Visiting, evaluation, and management of casework and sponsored projects;
- Writing the report and management for the program/activity
- Designing and carrying out the activity for Children, families, and communities;
- Regularly attend conferences, and training, read professional books, share experiences with colleagues, fulfilling working experience to improve service skills, and instruct interns with the guidance of Employer.
- Assist the administrative, general office management, and public relations.
- Collect and translate children’s letters to demonstrate accountability to the Taiwanese donors and public
- Act as a key worker and cooperate with multidisciplinary teams
- Be knowledgeable about resources available in communities
- Other Employer assigned tasks.
- Depending on the duty of Program, staff needs to work on weekends sometimes.
- Department of social sciences (social work, sociology, international relations, public health, etc.)
- Language Skills˸Good listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English.
- Basic word processing: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, internet, email
- License for cars is preferred but optional
- Must have own transport
- Be willing to work in impoverished and needy areas
- Work full-time
- Commit to the job for at least a year
- Must have passion, empathy, sensitivity, problem-solving skills, communications skills, and the ability to work in teams.
- With a driver's license (not necessary but will prioritize).
