Job Description
Exceed-worldwide, a United Kingdom-based INGO that provides rehabilitation and community support services to persons with disabilities, is recruiting a Cambodia national for the position below:
- Physiotherapist (2 Positions)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Participate in Joint Assessment with prosthetist/ orthotists and community development worker & identify what PT intervention is needed.
- Assess clients physiotherapy needs in the community.
- Liaise with other professionals & family/ caregiver to prepare a treatment plan.
- Monitor & evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapy intervention through re assessment.
- Maintain client record & treatment plan and any other documentation as required by Exceed.
- Be responsible for providing a safe clean environment for the assessment & treatment of clients.
- Able to recommend changes in the clients' environment to facilitate Activities of Daily Living.
- Work with team for mobile services repair provide to Exceed’s clients in the community
- Management
- With the Team Leader, contributes to planning the annual PT objectives and works within the team to achieve these objectives
- Works within established standards, and looks for innovative ways to improve service delivery
- Attends regular team meetings
- Attends regular performance management meetings
- At all times works within Health and Safety standards
- Planning and Reporting:
- Participate in developing of Strategic Plan, Annual Work Plan for the centre and contributes to Exceed’s five year plan.
- Prepare monthly report and submit it to the Rehabilitation Programme Manager.
- Prepare other reports as requested.
- Finance:
- Participates in developing annual budget
- Monitors budget in relation to expenses on monthly basis in his/her own responsibilities.
- Ensures that the finance and accounting system in the centre is implemented effectively and transparently.
- Understands about Finance and Accounting Manual.
- Quality Management System:
- Provide and present report as required
- Maintains accurate records and reports these to the Team Leader as requested
- Takes responsibility for ensuring all aspects of the quality management system are fully understood and implemented
- At all times works within the policies and procedures of The Exceed’s quality management system and contributes toward continuous quality improvements
- Contributes toward improved work methods for increasing efficiency and service delivery
- Communication and relationship:
- Liaise with Physiotherapy, Prosthetist/ Orthotists and community development workers regarding client care and follow-up work.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships within the physical rehabilitation sector in Cambodia, Person with Disability Foundation (PWDF), Hospitals and Health Centre, Disability Action Consult (DAC), CDPO NGOs and other agencies.
Job Requirements
- Cambodian national
- A diploma or degree from a recognized physiotherapy school
- A positive attitude towards disabled people and the ability to relate to rural communities
- Ability to listen to the views of disabled people
- Effective communicator
- Willing to undertake more training as required
- Ability to undertake assessments and formulate treatment / rehabilitation plans
- Able to work as part of a professional team
- Maintain all necessary records as required by Exceed
- Able to work without direct supervision
- Show initiative
