Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) is one of the leading international NGO that contribute to social development through providing life-changing education, nourishment and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities with its vision to transform them into tomorrow’s leaders. This well respected NGO, currently, cares for more than 1,800 students and 14,000 people annually, helping entire families and communities in crisis through a significant array of programs and initiatives.
CCF operates in Cambodia through strong support relationship development and fundraising businesses in USA, Australia, UK, and Hong Kong. It has grown rapidly since its inception. To support the development, CCF is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position below:
- Academic Coordinator
- Take a lead in curriculum planning, Long Term Planning and Lesson Planning for Khmer General Education (KGE) to meet Ministry of Education requirements and CCF expectations.
- Develop and implement quality assurance for the KGE program by working directly with the Education Management Team and Teacher Development Team;
- Provide support, direction and educational leadership to subject leaders/teachers effectively and timely;
- Lead and supervise staff both teaching and non-teaching staff performance plan and appraisal to ensure good working result;
- Work collaboratively with Education Management Teams to set time tables and students regrouping based on each academic year;
- Ensure all resources for teaching and learning are in place;
- Ensure all assessments both Assessment of Learning and Assessment for Learning are well planned and done effectively according to CCF guidance and policy;
- Record and analyze all assessment data to improve teaching and learning of student’s outcomes;
- Provide a positive climate where we have high expectations and build relationships with students;
- Work closely with STEM teams to ensure science subject teachers are able to join Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and run STEP projects successfully;
- Work closely with Academic teams to ensure all teachers get Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to improve their ability, knowledge and skills;
- Produce required reports with accuracy and punctuality
- Other tasks are assigned by line manager.
- Ethical and able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work;
- Bachelor degree of Science, Education or related field
- Certificate of pedagogy in any of Science subject;
- 3 years of professional experience in education management for Khmer General Education Program;
- Experiences in People management from various professionals;
- Experience working in curriculum and pedagogy planning, staff professional development and training;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including willingness and ability to positively engage with diverse stakeholder at all levels;
- Proficient in reading, writing and speaking in English;
- Good at ICT Skills;
- Be honest, trustworthy, patient, respectful and helpful;
- High compassion and commitment to work with our community and children from a difficult background;
