The Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM) works to promote independent media, press freedom, freedom of expression, access to information and internet freedom. CCIM focuses on promoting and defending media freedom, freedom of expression, and access to information. CCIM is known for its efforts to support independent journalism and advocate for a vibrant media environment in Cambodia. Currently, CCIM focuses on 1) Citizen Journalists Network 2) Media Training 3) Media and Information Literacy Training 4) Advocacy Efforts.
- Communication Officer
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, NGO partners and other media outlets.
- Develop social media strategies, action plans and implement for organization to increase media coverage and public visibility
- Manage and update the organization's website and social media channels (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Create engaging and informative content for digital platforms, including podcasts, videos, and infographics.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare social media reports.
- Manage media inquiries and respond to requests for information.
- Monitor social media trends and engage with online audiences.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns to support organizational goals.
- Track and analyze website and social media metrics for report and monitoring.
- Taking photos and videos for media use
- Monitor online conversations and social media mentions to identify and address any potential reputational risks.
- Creative in producing content online
- Assist with the planning and execution of media events, such as press conferences, product launches, and industry events.
- Work constructively with colleagues in other departments and teams to promote CCIM’s mission, objective, and vision.
- Support the team in developing curriculum and training material related to Media.
- Delivery the training related to media to stakeholder and CCIM staff.
- Participate the training assigned by the communication coordinator or management team.
- Other tasks assigned by direct supervisor.
- Cambodian national. Women are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, mass media or closely related field.
- Proven working experiences at least 2-3 years as Communication, media field or relevant experiences
- Proficiency in design and video editing tools such as Canva, photoshop, illustrator, adobe premiere or other applications
- Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Be able to travel to province and work under pressure
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Khmer
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working to develop independent and professional media, promote human rights and democratic governance
