- Chinese teacher
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and teach engaging Mandarin Chinese courses for students of all ages and levels.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with the school's learning goals and standards.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback through regular assessments, assignments and exams to help students improve their language skills.
- Integrate Chinese culture, traditions and history into the classroom to enhance students' understanding and interest in the language.
- Create a positive and interactive classroom atmosphere to stimulate students' interest in learning.
- Work closely with other faculty and staff to support students' academic and personal development.
- Maintain communication with parents and report students’ learning progress and performance regularly.
- Participate in school meetings, seminars and professional development activities to continuously improve teaching skills.
Job Requirements
- Native Chinese speaker, fluent in written and spoken Chinese.
- Bachelor degree or above in education, Chinese language or related majors (or equivalent experience).
- Candidates with TESOL, TEFL or similar teaching qualifications are preferred.
- Able to communicate in English on a daily basis.
- Experience in teaching Chinese as a second language, preferably with experience working in international schools.
- Good communication skills in Chinese and English, other languages are preferred.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
