Job Description

Association to Support Vulnerable Women (ASVW) was established by a group of women as the Cambodian Prostitutes Union in 1998 and it was registered with the Ministry of Interior in 2018. ASVW is a non-profit, non-political association to promote sex-entertainment worker rights through grassroots mobilization. ASVW strives to raise the status of sex-entertainment worker rights, empowering them to be free of judgments and harm.

ASVW has been working to ensuring the Rights and Dignity of Sex-entertainment Workers by:

  • Strengthen the capacity of ASVW as a newly registered independent CBO.
  • Increase sex-entertainment workers' access to existing rights and services, including legal protections, health and education.
  • Increased care and support for sex-entertainment workers experiencing hardship as a result of poverty, addiction, discrimination, violence or HIV, and their children.
  • Reduced stigma and discrimination within the community against sex-entertainment workers and their families.
  • Promote children of Sex-entertainment workers to access education
  • Program Coordinator
Job Responsibilities & Duties

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under supervision of ASVW’s board, Program Coordinator would have key responsibilities below:
  • Direct communication with donor on ASVW’s business;
  • Observe and build strong networks that align with ASVW’s goals at all levels (local, national and international);
  • Develop a roadmap/action plan of the program with ASVW’s team;
  • Work closely with ASVW team to ensure that the program activities are implemented;
  • Write activities reports that reflect the results of the program and submit them to donors and board;
  • Be able to manage finance of the program;
  • Attend meetings, workshops and seminars that are relevant to the association’s goals; and
  • Meet with beneficiaries’ group and take notice of their concerns.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and build capacity of the team when they needed
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to this post
Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree, Business Administrative or relevant qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good knowledge on women’s right;
  • Experience of managing a project/program, administrative work and report writing;
  • Experience of coordinating to develop workplan

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity;
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly competent typing skills, both in English and Khmer;
  • Computer skills are required.
