Finn Church Aid (FCA) is a faith-based organization with about 70 years of experience. FCA operates in 13 countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. In Asia, our countries are Nepal, Cambodia and Myanmar. FCA specializes in three thematic priority areas: Right to Peace (R2P), Right to Livelihood (R2L) and Right to Quality Education (R2QE). Globally, FCA’s vision is a world comprised of resilient and just societies where everyone’s right to peace, quality education and sustainable livelihood has been fulfilled. FCA is a right-based actor, and its work is guided by international human rights standards and principles. Equality, non-discrimination and accountability are at the core of all the actions. We contribute to positive change by supporting people in the most vulnerable situations within fragile and disaster-affected areas through development cooperation, humanitarian assistance and advocacy work. Our main funding sources are from private persons and companies, Finnish government, Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church and global institutional donors (UN, EU etc.). Finn Church Aid is a member of ACT Alliance.
FCA has been working in Cambodia since 1970’s with local and international organizations including Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and, then with Life With Dignity (LWD). In 2011, FCA established its field presence and office in Cambodia. We work currently in three thematic areas, including Peace (Youth Work), education and livelihoods. Lately we have responded to Covid-19 crisis with humanitarian response, including food and cash assistance. We have also supported schools after floods. As a civil society actor, FCA realizes its mission and vision through development cooperation, humanitarian assistance, and advocacy work.
